The goal is to get our best guy on the team.
As a returning world medalist Woods is the best on paper until Bo beats him (which i think he will).

I love that lineup for next year. Bassett also said
In the interview that hes willing to go whatever weight the coaches think is best at VT. So I think there's some flexibility with Bos ncaa weight.

Would be pretty disappointing if he doesn't finish top 4 in this ACC field.
He shouldn't need an at large. I think he will do well next weekend. ( Plus,If you aren't top half in the ACC you are probably not scoring pts at nationals anyway).

I dont know the answer now that I think about it. I give to both but I give more to SERTC.

Well that sucks.
Curious what the story is. Did he get hurt in warmup? He sure looked fine walking off after his last win. I was also looking forward to his semis match.

Agreed.
Its easy to second guess after the fact. Caleb Knows what he is doing. Just didnt go his way this time but he wrestled a smart match IMO.

If you don't finish top 3 in ACC you probably aren't gonna do anything at nationals anyway.

Good post. Robie and co. have shown ability to get our guys ready for NCAAs
Duals are basically irrelevant. This was an opportunity for a lot of our guys to get quality wins to help their seedings and we didnt take advantage. Still 3 months til nationals. Way too early to peak right now. Sucks that Mcgonagle and Stewart werent able to go. Im sure no one is more dissappointed than Coach in the overall performance. Like you said, thats why we schedule this match now.

Big time. It's a head scratcher for sure.
As frustrating as it is to watch I'm sure it's more frustrating for Sam. He is so good at getting to the legs.

Really hoping Sam can find his groove again.
He has beaten so many of the top guys in this bracket before. Hes obviously very capable. Would not shock me to see him in the semis but also wouldn't be a surprise to see him bow out early.

Agreed, how many guys are we actually getting 4 quality years from?
Theres plenty of examples of guys that have not performed as well by their 4th or 5th year as they were their 2nd or 3rd. I think a redshirt is not always going to get the team 4 quality years of starting. If they are our best option to start as a true freshman then I think they should be in the lineup. I know it depends on what the kid wants also. (Lewis,McFadden,Chisko, Bolen, Epperley, Ventresca(?))
