The committee didn't want VT to host.

Do you think the new AD will hire a sport specific fund raiser for say MBB, WBB and another one for the balance of the sports, not counting SB and Wrestling?

Agree with this. With 2 strikes, throw it just off the plate.
Induce the batter to go fishing.
Can't do that if you are a foot off the plate.

Exactly. Coach is definitely hard headed about this.
The long ball is fun, but sometimes "small ball" is a smart way to play, especially if players are in a slump.

Yesterday was a good day.
Didn't get to see all the softball game due to my grandson's soccer game. Had to leave with the score 5-0. Saw Kylie Aldridge's scoreboard breaking grand slam and Zoe Yeager's solo shot. And yes, I celebrated each with a swig of Jaegermister. (Don't worry folks, we were traveling in the car so Mrs Atlee was driving.) When we got back home I saw the final was 6-0 for the good guys.
And my grandson's team won their first tournament game. And to brag a little, my grandson's team's first score (in a 2-1 win) came when he sent a perfectly executed corner kick across the goal to a teammate waiting on the far side who drove it home for the first score.

I lived off of Pepper's Ferry road (Powder Plant Road, as I knew it).
I went to Belview Elementary thru the 3rd grade, and then we moved east to the land of flat fields and swamps.

Why is it a B'burg problem?
Are they turning down requests to build more hotels?
I would guess, apart from football weekends, graduation, and maybe beginning of the school year, there can't be a huge demand for hotel rooms.

Agree Graduation should be before regionals.
That said, Fall semester end date had no effect on the beginning of spring semester. Spring semester began Jan 20th. Spring semester could have just as easily began Jan 13th. Problem solved.
