The all too early 26/27 season line up predictions. And go…
125- EV if he wants another year. Maybe Rojas 133 - AS 141 - BB 149 - CH 157 - CG or NN 165 - RB/NN or MC 174 - RB or SD 184 - No clue, maybe JB or GW 197 - SS Biggins’ - JM I assume we will start hearing some noise on portal guys. I’d imagine only focusing on competition and depth at the upper weights The future is very bright!

Watched Christian Pyles on You Tube predict that AS would be 141 next year.

That is believable
I seen AS beside CH. I don’t see how he cut to 133 and maintained his gas tank. He has an impressive weight management regime. He’ll be a full sized 141 threat. Not sure how he’ll get plugged in with BB’s arrival and worry teams will throw a big bag at him to transfer

There are some guys I don't worry about finding a spot/getting poached
Seidel is one of them. He either makes 133 or Caleb bumps up to 157, Bo to 149, and Seidel to 141.

OK, how's this for a 26-27 lineup:
125: Eddie 133: Dillon Campbell 141: Aaron 149: Bo 157: Caleb 165: Gaj 174: Burton 184: Desiante 197: Sasso 285: Mullen

Based on his consolation performance, do you think EV wants another year?

He lost in OT to last year's national champ
I know he's owned that matchup, but they were all close. I think most expected Eddie to drop one to him eventually. It just sucks that it happened at nationals.

OT is the problem. Can he do another year and change offense?

I think Eddie is what he is at this point
But he was right there to make the semifinals this year, and right there to make the finals the year before. I think he'll be right there for a high AA finish next year.

I think his consolation performance was a "natty or bust" reaction
I don't think he had enough time to mentally process the loss. Part of what makes the bloodround so difficult. Wrestling is hard and he may very well be content with his career but I feel like he wants to finish it off differently.

That's a tough question
I never forgot my last match, because it ended in a loss. That sting never really leaves you. But it's such a hard sport and he's been through the ringer emotionally and physically. I honestly wouldn't be surprised either way.

Bottom 4 weights
I'd like to hear former wrestlers.....You've watched 175-285. We have some good men BUT what does it take for them to improve to make AA level?? Are they capable of making the jump??

My best guess ...
125: Eddie 133: Aaron 141: Bo 149: Caleb 157: Gaj 165: Ryan Burton 174: Sergio 184: Bullock 197: Sasso 285: Mullen Five guys with legitimate shots at a national championship in the top half/five guys who should be gunning for AA in the bottom half. Wild cards: - The portal bringing in a starter - Melvin Miller reclassifies (doubtful, but he'll turn 19 in October, so he wouldn't be a young freshman) - Some weight changes, like NN up at 165 or Bo and Caleb going 49/57 - Any of a million things that can affect a group of college kids

Chiming in
125 - EV (with a more offensive approach) 133 - Seidel 141 - Bo 149 - Caleb 157 - Noah 165 - Weader or Transfer 174 - Burton 184 - Sergio or Bullock 197 - Sasso 285 - Mullen Thoughts: 1. I am a big Dillon Campbell fan. I hate not finding a spot in the lineup for him. If we can keep him for one more year, i like the idea of either he or Seidel moving up to 141, Bo to 149, Gaj to 157 and Noah to 165 in 2028. Maybe Melvin goes 174 but that depends on how much physical growth he shows during his senior year. He looks like a 157 to me right now. 2. Not sure if Bullock sticks around for another year but it appears he has a medical redshirt to use if he wants it. I think Sergio can be a more dynamic 184 if he can bulk up. 3. Loved Church out of high school but he is just not the same guy up at 165 that he was wrestling at 141/149 in high school. I don't think he has the chops to keep a starting spot. He has guts though. 4. Having Rozas train with Eddie for his redshirt year buys us a year, then we have Coluccio coming in '28. That little kid is a menace out of Jersey. 5. Help is coming at the upper weights. Carini, Konopka, Rocha, Fortier are all legit prospects. 6. I think Noah projects at a heavier weight than Gaj with his frame. Redshirting Colin gives him a full year of getting beat up in the room by Caleb.

Burton definitely going up
Would not be surprised to see Sergio go up as well. Depth will obviously be strong everywhere.

I think that's a good call for a full season as a starter
Burton seems like a guy who will thrive w/o worrying about sucking weight and I think he's more than physical enough to go 174.

Was answered prior to Nationals
--not on the roster nor should be given the circumstances --in the room every day --working his way back to "fighting" weight!!
