Dillion???

Anyone have info they can share....how's his rehab?? What's his "role" on the roster next year?? TIA

Does U.S. coaches and the wrestler's coaches work as a team??

Does one have priority over all wrestling issues..... prep, strategy, "brick" throwing, etc??

QUESTION on U.S. TEAMS and coaches

My question comes from the Pan Am matches yesterday. Never had a real good camera look but I thought I saw Walz in/near the wrestler's corner. Does VT (and others) supplement the U.S. coaches? Who is primary in international competition??TIA...appreciate!!

Bo's pace just overwhelms. Will be interesting....

to see how older (college) wrestlers counter this tactic/strategy/MO!! Not sure I can remember a wrestler with this "kind" of pressure.

Do we have guys (Bo, Burton) wrestling today at.....

PanAm or another international events? I can't find where I thought it was mentioned. TIA

What is Walz's official position?? AC??

He's not on the coaching staff, VT directory or SERTC contact information. TIA ** Edited by wasris at 7/1/2026, 7:02:43 AM

An update on this special lady!!!!

Harper Potter, best known for her heartwarming 2017 surprise meeting with her favorite Virginia Tech wrestler, Ty Walz, while undergoing cancer treatments, has grown up to be an accomplished student-athlete herself in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. She graduated from Union High School, where she became a VHSL Class 2 State Champion in the shot put for indoor track. Her path included overcoming a major medical hurdle when she had to undergo emergency open-heart surgery. She remains a prominent Virginia Tech fan as the program continues to thrive, having most recently captured their second straight ACC Wrestling Championship in Cassell Coliseum. Competing at the University of Kentucky. ** Edited by wasris at 6/8/2026, 2:22:35 PM

AirHokie66, if you're reading the board....

A folkstyle vs freestyle recruiting question. How much is a high schools wrestlers freestyle importance/ceiling considered vs what he's there for....college(folkstyle) team wrestling? We've had more wrestlers, it seems, participate in international competition the past 2-3 years. Maybe that's "just" the trend with the younger wrestlers coming up?? Maybe it's year round competition?? Maybe the wrestler's style/athletic skills lend themselves better to freestyle?? Regional training room are growing in importance thus by default impacting recruiting?? My question is almost prompted by Sam Fisher who, for me, passed the eye test/success test for international wrestling versus college wrestling?? How much does the staff consider freestyle potential and RTC impact on recruiting. APPRECIATE!! What makes me smile is how our guys conduct themselves off the mat as much as they do on the mat. ** Edited by wasris at 6/6/2026, 7:25:24 AM

Mullin's wins with a throw in opening 10 seconds.

That made the score 4-0 but he was awarded the win...not sure why. Opponent wasn't injured!!??

WHAT A CLASS!!

All but 1(#9)....top 5 in Flo's ranked weight class their senior year in high school!! Noah Nininger' Ryan Burton' Aaron Siedel' Collin Gaj' Lane Foard@ Drew Gorman' Ben Weader' ** Edited by wasris at 5/29/2026, 9:20:08 AM
