The Pac-10 that Colorado joined and the BigXII that they left are no longer
what they used to be. Both are greatly diminished, so I imagine that Colorado will just go with the best possible conference in the near term. The whole thing kinda sucks.

Big XII, then how would the schools increase exposure for the other sports they currently sponsor? I keep hearing how live content is important to increasing the value of the media contract. Now I realize they are referring to football and men's basketball unless you are talking about the Big Ten and SEC where the non-revenue sports (i.e. baseball, ice hockey, lacrosse, and softball) have some value to the conference.
I guess ultimately I am wonder if the ACC, Big XII, and Pac-12 would be in a better financial position with or without a conference network. Now I know the Big Ten and SEC are currently in a different league than the rest of the power conferences, so it doesn't make sense (or cents) to continue comparing the 3 with them. Does it make sense (or cents) to compare the 3 to the AAC, C-USA, MAC, MWC, Sun Belt, maybe the Big East, and maybe the Atlantic 10 in terms of how their media contracts and even "conference network" are currently structured?

create some more rivalry games in the ACC. The B12 should take over the west end let go of East. Pick geographical rivalries and focus on making them compelling. I hear the SEC has done okay with that. 😁

Would big 12 be ok to expand west the pac 12 schools and be ok to accept wvu cinn/central florida move on???

He’s basically saying we are stuck with that deal through 2036 and not any sooner because ESPN invested money in the ACCN.
Still we are literally the only conference that can’t get any money out of having 3 National Champions within the last 10 years.

Put the best 4 preseason Teams in different brackets.
Ex.
UNC, Duke, UVA and Louisville.
So what happens is either the elite ACC team wins a preseason tournament or a lower level team increases it’s profile by winning that tournament.
We can’t lose.

UCF is already better than most of the ACC teams. Eventually USF will get going. High school football in Central Florida is very good

In rhe 1990’s teams like vt would get 2-3 stsr players amd turned up good.
Ssme in 757
Now got viable local teams like sourh fla ucf fla atlantic fla international as well as locally odu jmu and liberty these 2-3 stars have local choices in div 1

up everywhere in the firm I work for. We used to have 0 in our office 5 years ago, now there are a half-dozen of them. Like I said before the numbers are too big to ignore for those 2 schools, but USF has a loooong way to go to fix things.

So one tournament with UVA, UNC, Duke and Louisville
Then another with Miami, FSU, VT and ND
Then another with WF, Clemson, Syracuse and WVU
Then the last with GT, NCST, BC and Pitt
The winner of each tier gets a huge boost up. The teams that go 1-1 make out OK. The one going 0-2 gets a decent SOS boost at the higher 2 levels.
This might be the best idea. The top two tier tournaments would be made for TV

Seems like a good idea to replace the ACC/B10 challenge.
But the fourth team in DC should be WVU or Cincinnati, not Maryland (with VT, UVa and Louisville). And you could host that one in Louisville half the time.
