Big XII, then how would the schools increase exposure for the other sports they currently sponsor? I keep hearing how live content is important to increasing the value of the media contract. Now I realize they are referring to football and men's basketball unless you are talking about the Big Ten and SEC where the non-revenue sports (i.e. baseball, ice hockey, lacrosse, and softball) have some value to the conference. I guess ultimately I am wonder if the ACC, Big XII, and Pac-12 would be in a better financial position with or without a conference network. Now I know the Big Ten and SEC are currently in a different league than the rest of the power conferences, so it doesn't make sense (or cents) to continue comparing the 3 with them. Does it make sense (or cents) to compare the 3 to the AAC, C-USA, MAC, MWC, Sun Belt, maybe the Big East, and maybe the Atlantic 10 in terms of how their media contracts and even "conference network" are currently structured?
