Has not seemed to happen at the 20 or so programs that will make up the new

College football order. Fans of those schools love the fact that their conferences were strong, and destroyed the weak conferences. Their biggest problem will be how to feel good when there are no weak conferences left to destroy. What happens to those left out just yields indifference. They will still play games, they will still be on some sort of TV. They won't be part of the playoffs. They won't be RELEVANT. Their fans' egos will be bruised. That's why fans of a school on the borderline like VT are scared in a way that fans of Bama or Auburn or Michian State or Iowa are not. When you know your team is on the inside looking out, you can let the outsiders eat cake.
