Late Morning Trivia! [on the road again style}
The US Interstate system was founded in the 1950s to move America foward. Two Trivia Questions:
1.Name the longest 2 digit US Interstate Highway.
2. Name the shortest 2 digit US Interstate Highway (end to end not a spur).

Longest and Shortest 2 digit Interstate Highway
Interstate i90 from Seattle to Boston is the longest at 3100 miles.
West end: Begins at Washington State Route 519 in Seattle, WA.
East end: Ends at Massachusetts Route 1A near Logan International Airport in Boston, MA
States served: Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts — a total of 13 states
Notable features: Incorporates several historic toll roads (e.g., New York State Thruway, Massachusetts Turnpike) and passes major cities like Chicago, Cleveland, Buffalo, and Albany
Interstate 97 (I 97) is only 17.62 miles and is the shortest Interstate in the USA.
Entirely within Anne Arundel County, Maryland
Runs north–south from US 50 / US 301 (John Hanson Highway) in Parole near Annapolis to I‑695 and I‑895B in Brooklyn Park near Baltimore
Serves as the primary highway between Baltimore and Annapolis, connecting the Baltimore/Washington International Airport to the state capital

3 digits (first digit even) leave the interstate system and reconnect to it, so they are basically bypasses (which in some cases they "bypass" on both sides which makes them beltways)
Spurs (first digit odd)... leaves interstate and ends somewhere
581 -- connects I-81 to Roanoke
195 -- connects I-95 to BWI
395 -- connects I-95 to downtown DC
795 -- connects I-695 (Baltimore beltway) to NW suburbs
Bypasses/beltways/interstate connectors (first digit even) -- leaves AND reconnects with interstate system:
270 -- connects I-70 in Frederick to I-495
495 -- beltway around DC
695 -- beltway around Baltimore
295 -- bypasses Richmond on the eastern sides

Even number interstates run east - west, and odd numbered interstates run north - south.
3-digit interstates are spurs off of a major (2-digit) interstate.
