What's your favorite invasive species?
Mine is the Burmese python. By a mile. One hundred percent due to pet owners in over their heads. Now their former pets run the Everglades. Second place is the fire ant.

Not only do we go wherever we want and do our darndest to engineer it to our liking, most other invasive species were brought to their new home by us.

Eh...the data suggests that the python issue is mostly NOT bad owners
Sure, some idiots have released some pythons...but genetic testing indicates most of the pythons in the everglades can be traced back to a couple of breeding facilities that were destroyed by Hurricane Andrew. There have also been a few other larger scale releases associated with cargo movement and issues at the Miami airport customs hub. While the released pet narrative gets talked about a lot, I think most of the experts attribute the issue primarily to Hurricane Andrew.

What were the breeding facilities for? Pets? I don't really see that as
a huge difference.

I’ll go with iguanas. Seem relatively harmless unless you get hit on the

No, not really, but if you're not familiar with Stan, look it and you'll figure out the reference.
