Well, here's the trip plan for May...
Tentative due to Premier League TV stuff, but I know I'm flying into London and out of Luxembourg. Here's the plan in between...
London for a few days for Spurs-Burnley
Dover for a night, then take the ferry to Dunkirk and see all that that
Then to Ypres, where there's a lot of good WW1 fortifications
Then to Bruges, because it's supposedly a great place to visit
Then on to see the Waterloo battlefield
Then on to Bastogne to see all of that
Then probably a night or so in Luxembourg

I'm definitely down for an individual tour at some places. But a tour of all of that would be insanely expensive. I've looked into the Band of Brothers tours before, but they are like $5k+, and everything is on a strict schedule. I like to go on my own pace.

Worked there a few years back, like maybe 20 or so, watch the news and they were still finding things like buried hospitals. Two people were killed when some old munition went off what, like 80 years later. the death toll wasn't/isn't even complete yet.
I think Ypres was early in the war though, still some old school fighting before the trench warfare dug in.

prior when I studied abroad at Tech.
Did the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank, Canal tours. Didn't jam pack most of our days so we could do what we wanted to. Really enjoyed it.
I would say 4 days was enough. We got our flights back from Schipol canceled by KLM so they rebooked us on Lufthansa through Munich. Not great but we got 1200 euro compensation for the inconvenience.

...Louve. That was sort of a last minute trip I signed up for when the ship hit Marselles, so I didn't have time to do any research. I just thought they would be in the Louve...and I found out when I got back that they are in a different museum.
