Hot take incoming
What if we promoted from within? Tyler Bowen has done a decent job developing the offense.

Is it?
Or are we just more aware...inundated daily...with every little bad thing that does happen (and even some things that are made up).

Let's hope so.
Effort was certainly there in the summer transfer market even though they did miss out on some top targets.

No ownership changes though from what I've read.
So still to be seen if they'll fully hand over the reins and checkbook.

Setting a budget isn't unreasonable at all.
And for the record...I wasn't talking about you specifically. But I've seen too many parents make it a social event for them. Bride and groom end up not even knowing a bunch of people there.

Posted on the sub board last nightβ¦
β¦the review rule is new and Iβm not sure it was applied properly last night. I donβt think the 2nd PK shouldβve been awarded as there was no call on the field to challenge or review. Itβs not meant to work the same way as VAR works at professional levels based on what Iβm reading.

That goes for pretty much just about any toy from the 60s/70s/80s.
Thank goodness though we opened them and actually played with them.

The 1 yard line one...was that the Weir header that went over?
I think she was fouled on that one. On replay it appeared the GTown defender pulled her down which didn't allow her to get over the ball and deflect it downward and you could see her seeming to indicate the same after the play. That said, almost impossible to call in real time and no VAR in college. Is what it is.

Have no issues with passing it back.
Thatβs a nature of wanting to play out of the back. Watch a premier league game. I donβt know how Georgetown wants to play or what their philosophy is, so canβt answer to why they were different. IMO watching a lot of soccer, thatβs topically a complaint of people that donβt really understand the game. Canβt tell you how many times Iβve heard a parent yell βwhy are we passing it backwardsβ?

Really just the nature of the game.
Itβs really really hard.
Georgetown certainly was a factor as well, IMO they were more physical than Clemson.

Meh, thatβs soccer.
Played well, but werenβt as crisp as Thursday night. Some heavy first touches and just couldnβt get it in the back of the net. On to the next one at Liberty.

Yeahβ¦
β¦little shaky in the back at times, but which where weβre more inexperienced, but they didnβt break and kept a clean sheet. Learning experiences in what was still a dominant win, so good opportunity for coaches. Really liked what I saw.
Same with the guys. When they mesh and get more time together they could be dangerous. Have some very skilled players.

Meh, itβs UNC.
They start three freshman and played two others and as I mentioned they have the returning national player of the year (a senior). And it looks like all their soph starters played significant time last season with most earring all freshman honors as well as other awards (all tournament, etc.). The only player I can see that theyβre missing right now (injury?) is Dellarose (a senior defender).
TN is a very good team this year and will be a threat at NCAAs IMO if they stay healthy. As I mentioned last week, they completely outplayed UNC. I could see missing Dellarose a factor here somewhat.
Georgia on the other hand also started three freshman, including a freshman GK, and played 4 other freshman last night. Do you really think Georgia is more talented or experienced than UNC?
And BTW, VT started 5 freshman last night and played two others.

Whoβs the third?
They had two freshman called up this week for two friendlies for the U-17 squad and looks like one of those two still played tonight. Both played in the loss to Tennessee last week. Regardless, itβs UNC. Still had the best player in the country last year playing and they have more talent on the bench then many teams have starting.
Them losing to Georgia in soccer is like Alabama losing to UVA in football.

I would use "manage" lightly..."signs off on" is probably more appropriate.
VT outsources/bids out most of their design and engineering in my experience.

I'd rather have a 20 year old international player...
...that's played in some European academy for the past decade than any 4 or 5 star American player any day of the week. Want to win in men's NCAA soccer...that's the route to go.
If some 17 year old is truly a 5* soccer talent in the US, then they shouldn't be going the college route. Those ratings are meaningless IMO.

Would bet most of the olympic sports do this nowadays.
I get hand written notes/cards/etc from women's soccer and track every year.

Are we sure itβs an actual conference game?
Conference schedule is supposed to be 10 games right? The Clemson game would be 11 wouldnβt it? Mightβve just beenβ¦βhey, weβve got open dates, letβs playβ.

Not that Iβm aware of.
Donβt believe there are any national team camps (main or youth) currently going on.

All SEC schools are pouring money into all sports.
Heck, all SEC schools are pouring money into everything it seems, even on the academic side.
Tennessee wasn't bad last year. They gave us a battle in the NCAA tournament. And they've since added some pieces. They and Bama both whooped us in the spring.
But last night...they just flat out outplayed UNC. UNC has plenty of talent. But they weren't connected last night, passing was sloppy, they couldn't break down UT's defense, and made some crucial mistakes defending counters.

UNC looked like crap. TN is legit.
They wonβt be unranked now.
First poll gave way too much respect to last years results IMO (though I didnβt really have an issue with UNCβs ranking as defending champs).

Or that.
They make universal remotes as well that can be programmed.
He could also replace the whole opener with a newer one that has both remotes and app capability (more expensive option clearly). Not sure how old the current one is.

Although I'm not sure just an indoor manhunt will be as effective.

I think a majority of these types of things are a way to separate you...
...from your money.
I'm assuming based on your other posts this is related to soccer. Here's my take.
1) HS team doesn't really mean squat. The club team team is what matters. What level are they playing? What connections does the club/director/coach have? What are they doing to help showcase their players (showcases, tournaments, etc).
2) Be your own advocate. Get an idea of what is realistic (D1...P5 vs the rest), D2, D3). Reach out to coaches directly, especially if they're going to be at a specific showcase. Have a film. I'm mixed on college ID camps. I think they can be beneficial at the smaller/local level. I think most P5 D1 ID camps are more of a money grab unless they're specifically inviting/encouraging you to attend one.
