My wedding reception was at the Dam Neck O Club.
It will be 40 years this Nov 1!
As I recall, it was a very warm (70s) and sunny that day, so folks were able to enjoy the deck.

Unfortunately, many of his drawings were destroyed in 1936.
During the Spanish Civil War, anarchists set fire to his workshop.

Yeah, his creativity is definitely other worldly.
We also visited Casa Vincens and Casa Batllo.
They were each very unique designs. I am sure we just saw the tip of the iceberg of his genius.

Incredible!
Did the Pope make Gaudi a saint during his visit? That was their speculation when we were there last month.

I must be the odd man out then.
I was a huge LA Rams, Dodgers and Lakers fan growing up for completely unrelated reasons and I didnβt grow up in LA, thank goodness.
I can name more Rams players on the Roman Gabriel teams than on todayβs team because I donβt really care anymore.
My love for the Dodgers, and pro baseball in general, died during the strike in the early 90βs. Havenβt watched a regular season game in decades. I occasionally tune into the World Series for an inning or 2.
And, some where along the way, I stopped paying attention to the NBA and the Lakers.
The fans must be coming from somewhere but because my pro sports fandom died when my daughter was very young, she could care less about pro sports but she is a huge Hokie sports fan.

Precious metals are an insurance policy against financial
Armageddon. Having 5-10% of your liquid assets in precious metals is a prudent strategy. I am not selling any of mine. Just enjoying the ride.

@David Cunningham
Freelon did return to the bench.
The TV announcers also mentioned her walking through the handshake line. As they said, she was walking very gingerly on the leg but no ice or boot.

He landed on someone elseβs foot on a rebound attempt in OT and
Appeared to twist/sprain his ankle. He left the game and was last shown not putting any weight on that leg.

I bought a 24 BMW X3 drive 30i
With 8500 miles in April of this year.
It is by far the best driving vehicle that I have ever owned and it gets about 30mpg for me.
My previous car was a 2023 Acura MDX that I enjoyed driving but it was so big, the wife would never drive it.

Do this to get $10/mo for the next 6 months.
I did it and got a confirming email from YTTV.
Also, if you have ESPN Select, switch to ESPN Unlimited for $29.99/mo.
My annual ESPN Select subscription runs through 11/7, so I was only charged $2.56 for today through 11/7.

@Chris Coleman since his U20 team was put together for this
Tournament, I think his TO could have been higher (and assists lower) in the early stages of the tournament as he and his teammates were getting used to playing together.
What do you think?

A M1911 made in 1918 that went ashore in France in WW1 and WW2 with a
Close family friend.
The leather holster has βSears 1943β embossed on the back.
The magazine pouch has βEngland Oct 1918β stamped on it.
Plus his uniform jacket from WW2 with the green felt bands on the shoulders signifying an officer or NCO that was getting ready to lead men into combat on D-Day.

A ship off one of the Greek Islands in 1980.
The Latin Club at my high school (@Stork Go Falcons!) went on a European (Paris, Geneva, Florence, Rome, Athens) trip the summer after graduation.
While in Greece, we took a ship to one of the islands. We had to anchor about 1/4 mile from shore and had a small craft come out to ferry us in. There were a few hundred people (not just my high school folks). Me and a buddy got impatient and decided to dive off the ship and swim in. We figured we might as well make the most of it, so we climbed to the top of the ship and dove off.
No idea how high we were but it had to be at least 50ft.
