Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys dead at 82 RIP
Loved them, even named my boat "Good Vibrations" back in 1970. Daughter in Calif still has the boat. Built it from the ground up, Great ski boat. Has a tape deck under the drivers seat with the Beach Boys tape.

The "comeback" show where they carried him on his bed out of the house

Amazing talent, but given his ongoing challenges/demons, I'm surprised
he made it to 82.

Got to see them on the beach at Fort Lauderdale...in '84 if memory
serves...they were all about 40-ish and still sounding good

'Wouldn't It Be Nice' to me is one of the best songs of all time

Don’t Worry Baby is the perfect pop song.
I’ve got most of their albums up to Smiley Smile on vinyl, will have to dig those out tonight.

Brian Wilson was a musical genius. So much more than “pop” music. Check out
quotes from Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan about his talents. “I figure no one is educated musically 'til they've heard Pet Sounds. I love the orchestra, the arrangements – it may be going overboard to say it's the classic of the century – but to me, it certainly is a total, classic record that is unbeatable in many ways. I've often played Pet Sounds and cried.” McCartney has said God Only Knows is the greatest song ever written. “Jesus, that ear. He should donate it to the Smithsonian. The records I used to listen to and still love, you can't make a record that sounds that way. Brian Wilson, he made all his records with four tracks, but you couldn't make his records if you had a hundred tracks today.” Bob Dylan Stevie Wonder

Didn't Charles Manson hang out at Brian's house for a while?

Could be, don't remember that.

Dennis Wilson, the drummer.
Apparently he got so freaked out by the Manson family he just abandoned the house.

Gotch ya!
I think he had his manager kick out the Manson clan.

I would have said that would surprise me, but I don't think much does...
