It has been said that politics are the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first. Ronald Reagan

Learned to drive with a manual, but driving with a manual and a right hand

steering wheel was an adventure for me when on one of the Caribbean islands about a decade ago. ** Edited by Nortazhokie at 7/12/2026, 7:54:55 AM

I remember that now that you mention it. Emergency was my favorite show as

a child. Gage and DeSoto always saved the day. ** Edited by Nortazhokie at 7/11/2026, 12:55:46 PM

My FIL passed away a few months ago from Stage 5 Parkinsons. The last year

or so he had been completely reliant upon my wife and me for everything he needed/did (he lived with us and we were his caregivers). He also developed Parkinson's dementia and he always thought he could get up and walk. One day when we weren't in the room with him he tried to walk, fell down, and broke his hip.....that was the beginning of the end.

Actually met him once at his house in Prenter, WV. I knew who he was at the

time I was there (I was working at the time in that area). To say he's "different" would be an understatement.

Yeah, before that they were talking about how that was the best 3rd baseman

to ever play at WVU and then he booted a ground ball (it was in between hops though but still an error). The one that really killed them was the 2nd baseman who booted an absolute routine double play ball.

Is he a switch hitter? This sentence is why I ask

Plenty of heaviness to his barrel, near top of class power from right side.

Third straight super regional. Got beat by UNC in 2024 and LSU last year.

They probably have a good chance of advancing on to the World Series this year.

I thought it was a routine fly ball when it first came off the bat. The

right fielder looked like he was going to have plenty of room and he kept backing up until he ran out of real estate. The slow-motion camera also showed that it looked like a pop up coming off the bat. Dude must be really strong though (of course the pitcher was throwing in the high 90s so you don't have to make perfect contact for it to fly out of the park).

I've been using one of those Princeton rooms the last several weeks, and

will be again for the next several weeks. Those rooms are actually in the hotel closest to Blacksburg from Princeton.

That looks similar to the plane all other sports use when they charter out

of Blacksburg. I can't tell exactly if it is but the photo looks similar. From my office I can see every plane that comes and goes out of Blacksburg, but I'm working out of state now so didn't get a chance to see it.

She has been pretty dang solid the last 3-4 weeks. She has gotten some

issues with her control worked out over that time. ** Edited by Nortazhokie at 5/9/2026, 4:25:49 PM
