Are you hearing the same thing this morning regarding Franklin?
Hearing this morning that it's unlikely Franklin will be the hire. Foster and Arians aren't going to get "played". This source said he's not saying it won't happen, however it's starting to take a downward turn. Guess we shall see...

announcement will come by Friday. The hold up is because of Penn State. It's rumor but seem believable.

All committee members decide . It's not a committee of 2. I recalled Mr Foster was part of the selection process for Pry. I definitely would be concerned if some members are throwing temper tantrums.
The committee decision not based on just Foster and Arians . A lot of big donors and potential big donors are part of this process.
Many pieces and parts in play . Let the process play out!!

offers, and he seemingly accepts but then comes back with a counter, I guess that can be getting played. I doubt that's happening here. I don't know a thing, but putting everything together, it feels like the deal is good to both parties. There is a little bit of fine tuning to be done, but that isn't going to be a hold up.

Let's speculate that the initial VT offer was for X.
If JF has asked for X and Y and Z from VT, then that's a normal counter.
If VT said ok we will give you X and Y and Z then we have met all of the demands for the candidate.
At that point if the offer is not accepted within a few days then it very much can seem like the candidate is not serious about accepting the offer. If Y and Z were big concessions for VT then it would be especially frustrating for each day that goes by with no commitment to accept. Given the rumors on contract size and when offers were made, it is believable that VT is getting short on patience with JF.

While many social boards reacting, with so called sources, so many being are being played and its not party a or party b. but observers who are being levraged to generate reaction,, (I dont see its being played, its negotiations, and leverage using the social network fabric). At the end, will be the end...... and only the committee, and the candidate(s)team, has a full understanding. We will never know but all sides play games.

Maybe it is accurate, who knows. Most high profile coaches send their buyer agents to look at houses at least in the beginning.

TSL that Franklin was in Blacksburg. That’s not speculation or a rumor WADR. I doubt he was in Blacksburg just soaking up the sun.

But, by next Monday I will expect more predictions along the lines of what you posted. Every job candidate gets 1-2 weeks to decide. After that and it becomes a question of whether the candidate has the commitment and desire to work for the employer. The two weeks are running out and VT will look really bad if we sit around too long and wait for someone.
Who knows, when VT beats FSU this weekend it could cause that job to open up finally and be another competitor for hiring.

Basically saying FSU is Franklin's #1 choice and that Norvell will be fired. Again, I understand that is speculation, but seems to be picking up some steam. That Norvell presser was very odd and seemed like he was basically begging FSU to let him keep his job. All it takes is one or two big donors to help with the buyout. I won't be surprised if Norvell is fired or is retained.
