I imagine the $10 & parking $$ doesn't even cover the overhead of the game.

This was a cost center, but now will produce revenue...
They were having to provide services at a cost. I had always thought that having some kind of "bucket" for donations at a suggested level would have been appropriate. If 25,000 people kicked in a buck or two that would have covered expenses. Completely understandable. I'm just a little disappointed that it jumped from free all the way to $10, and $25 for parking. It had always been a way for folks who couldn't afford the big cost of regular game days to get a taste of VT football. Oh well. Money's got to come from somewhere.

Getting a taste of modern VT football is free-just lick the toilet bowl TIC

If the ticket was $50, you'd have a point but $10 and park at Litton Reeves
or the garage(s) behind Derring for free? If they still have decent attendance this year, I'd expect the price to go up because $10 is too cheap and just a "feel it out" price. They should have done this years ago. To limit the $25 parking fee to only the most best lots with lots of good parking still available is smart because people have a decision or not as to spend the money. May also spread out parking better, which helps with traffic.

I would have expected the tickets to be $25, with $10 parking.

If the majority goes to NIL why not?
N
NokieHokie
It will go to revenue sharing, not NIL.

Ah forgot about that. Good investment

Still cheaper than going to the movie theatre. Seems fair IMO

We’re lucky it hasn’t been canceled. These fees will also generate about $1
1 million extra bucks that can be used for NIL. This is needed whether you guys like it or not.

I'd expect Ticket+Parking revenue to be half that.

That's an optimistic expectation

You're probably right.

I'm good with it as long as they dont charge a service fee like stubhub/TM
$10 ticket plus a 5.95 service fee seems like something theyd do they should sell food/alcohol for additional revenue, but looks like that will only be available in the club area ** Edited by kingofcassell at 3/6/2025, 11:48:22 AM

yes, but notice only 1 through 5 so conceivably you can park at
the VET school lot, Litton Reaves or other lots to park/tailgate for free
