Easy Fix…
It seems pretty easy to “fix” the ACC. Pick-up six teams: Washington; Oregon; Stanford; Utah; Colorado; WVU. You create four pods of five teams: NORTH BC Syracuse Pitt WVU Louisville EAST UNC Duke Virginia Clemson Tech SOUTH Miami FSU Georgia Tech NC State Wake WEST Washington Oregon Stanford Utah Colorado You play each team in your pod every year and rotate through the pods annually. You play every team at least once every three years. The two highest ranked division winners play in the conference CG. This is definitely a doable scenario. The conference easily matches the B1G and comes pretty close to the SEC. Top tier teams of Clemson, FSU, Miami, Washington, Oregon, Utah… Second tier of Tech, WVU, Pitt, Louisville, NC State, Stanford…. That’s one helluva conference!

Can't survive on less media money. Pass.

I don't think more money is in most teams future
The new reality will be what happens to the schools that are not in the P2 and they have to operate on much less than they do now.

Presumably adding teams in California, Oregon and Washington
Would come with more media money. The only flaw is a “Pacific” division of the Atlantic Coast Conference

Those schools are making less money WITH USC and UCLA. How are they going
to demand more without them. Not gonna happen.

I prefer conferences with strong regional presences as the ACC has built
But if the pac 12 and or big 12 are going to be sliced and diced to solidify the ACC’s seat at the CFP table, Washington, Oregon and Stanford would be reasonable additions. The schools have been the best draws in the pac 12 since USC tumbled from relevance. They would expand ACCN relevance to the west coast. Oregon Is a package deal with Nike. Stanford draws a nat up Al audience

UNC is going to want a Tobacco Road Pod, and they retain veto power.

Brilliant....
I love it. You are now the new ACC Commissioner. Seriously. Go Hokies! Already planning our all day tailgate for the BC night game.

I like it. I would just switch Clemson and NC State in your pods.

Key must have ranked teams
Networks want to pay for top notch programs and other than clemson nothing The football brands miami fsu vt and clemson all must be top 20 programs Miami beaf a&m Fsu beat lsu Vt beat wvu And clemson is clemson Means vt in acc play -8-0 Miami 7-1 Clemson 7-1 Fsu 6-2

There's an Oregon St. fan somewhere posting the opposite to fix the P12...
but I like it. I'd rather see the ACC leverage Notre Dame. What I'd REALLY like to see is the merger of all conferences into 1 giant media CFB league like the NFL or MLB. Have a playoff with division winners and wild cards.

Hey I could dig that model with the way things are going. Why the heck not?

I'd rather have a PL style promotion and relegation system rather than NFL
There are too many mid-tier programs that deserve a shot, and there will be too many programs collecting TV paychecks that won't improve. But yeah, the current P2 situation is garbage and isn't a long term solution IMO

There's many different ways to schedule, but money is issue right now.
Will adding all those teams mean a net loss for everybody? Keep in mind that a merger means one less conference championship game and maybe one less auto-bid to the CFP if that is what materializes. And of course, the bigger issue is, will adding these teams make everyone's TV contract better? But to be honest, I'd like to play some fresh blood.
