Interesting Bowl game . One I’ll watch or even consider attending .
Like VT , Minnesota also has close losses and is probably better than their 7-5 record. VT and Minn have never met in football

Boise is 30th with an SOS of 85.
I’m not saying I agree with this but at least it takes Schedule Strength into account. Actually VT did not have an easy schedule like most of us thought before the season started.

To be an away and home but we joined the Big East and couldn’t fit them in to the new schedule

Is the Pry experiment officially over after this year ?
Since college FB is more like pro with every player a free agent it’s possible we should look for a coach with pro experience. IMHO We have won 1 one score game with the current coach . That defies all odds . ( 1-12 ) . Pry will not learn clock management and end game coaching at his age . He actually felt we would be in the ACC championship game at the start of the season . We weren’t close to that . I do think he is handling the players with their egos , and that’s difficult to do . This isn’t enough and it may be best to buy the best players we can every year and go from there . Kind of like a fantasy football draft . Development is pretty much out the window as teams go from basement dweller to contender overnight ( Indiana , Colo , etc) . I don’t like it but it is what it is . College loyalty is mostly a thing of the past for players .

I think MY retires after this year due to NIL and Portal.
Old coaches are not used to building teams from scratch every year and that's the new normal . All players will consider leaving every year for greener pastures unless something is done to prevent it and that's not going to happen.

I was at the carrier dome in 98 . Traumatized enough to forego away games…
after that . The only good thing was it set up a big win against Bama in Nashville and sent the cuse to lose against Florida

Marquette opted out of the ncaa in 1970.
A lot of us remember that. Coach told the players they would get more exposure in New York then playing in Kansas .

Since VT join the ACC in 04 only Clemson has a better conference record ...
1. Clemson 121-39, 2. VT 103-56, 3. FSU 101-59, 4 Miami 88-71. I was surprised at this , maybe someone can double check .

VT has won 100 out of 155 ACC games , not including ACCC. ..
Only 2 sub .500 records in ACC play in 20 years. It feels worse for some reason

I drive a 19 Sierra SLT but some like performance cars and wouldn’t be seen in a truck . I guess since they’re the utes maybe a utility vehicle is what the team wants

I don’t care if Pitt is “bad” this year . 1-4 the last 5 years vs Pitt..
It’s still a good win . Pitt has had pretty good recruiting classes , at least as good as our team . Maybe this will propel VT to play well against FSU. Go Hokies
