A lot of us remember that. Coach told the players they would get more exposure in New York then playing in Kansas .

That doesn't mean it doesn't happen. But yes, it's illegal. The NCAA refuses to enforce many things however

I wonder if some schools are opting out because they have players entering
the portal who have said they won’t play.
Only takes a couple to leave for most teams to not have enough guys at the right positions to properly rotate guys in and out for their protection.
