Physical difficulties keep me from being able to go now.
Opponents were all different sizes, shapes, skill level. I didn’t miss a game for 8 years (Greenberg - Buzz years).
But if you just pick seeing top opponents, that’s deflating to our team. They lose the Cassell advantage playing in front of half filled gym.
If you support the Hokies, support the Hokies.

100 years! Wow. Suprised there home and home is Syracuse (Duke of course is the other),
Seems they would have kept NC State as the other home and home.

Acc schools agreed fo a 17 member comferencd
Acc schools go to 18 games
All members want to play each other
All members agreed 1 fixed rival fo play twice and 1 rotating twice team
Unc had to prioritize rivals duke for basketball and had to drop other priortity rival uva and state
For football it was flexible unc kept perm rivals uva duke and state and all nc schools played each other.

It’s a new world, VT needs to make money and get national exposure, our fan base is our primary attraction.
They aren’t showing up and the team is bad, selling season tickets off a bad season without caring about matchups is hard

Opponent doesn't matter if the product stinks
That's really the main draw, opponent be damned.

I think CMY deserves some slack here.
It is pretty obvious looking at our roster for next year that CMY has $$$ and is using them. I don't blame CMY for last year's results in any way whatsoever as his roster reflected the lack of $$$ - i.e. losing four starters and not being able to replace them with the same level of talent.

College events are entertainment now and folks who go, expect to be entertained. Winning is one component of entertainment. If the product is not good to watch, why invest in going to the game, or invest in weekend road trip and hotel..... In today's world, there are different options.

piercing insights Merc. It has been business and entertainment or entertainment and business for a very long time, winning has always been a component and there have always been options, even if more plentiful now.

Mike is a darn good coach, and this season should be much better considering the roster he's been allowed to build.

Duke so that isn't happening. Cuse? Clemson? Miami? I'm confused what teams did you want to see in Cassel in the ACC?

Every one of those programs has more history and is more relevant to VT fans than Stanford, Cal, Notre Dame, or Wake

"Anyone" is an indefinite pronoun used to refer to any person or people, often in questions or negative statements. It implies an open or unlimited set of individuals, meaning it does not specify who exactly is being referred to.
