So that they aren't pigeonholed into any one route to finish the lineup, which is very smart Izaiah Pasha is a PG who could also play on the wing if the person they brought in was primarily a ball handler (I don't expect that to be the case, but worst case scenario it's something that could work) Amani Hansberry is a 4/5 combo who legit can play both spots. The current combination of 4s and 5s all work together very well. Lawal and Hansberry go well together. Hansberry and Gurdak go well together. Gurdak and Lawal go well together. Depending on how they see Jones he could also go with any of the above 3. I don't know there's a position they could go next that wouldn't go well with Pasha and Hansberry. Here are some possible scenarios PG - Pasha Wing - Transfer Wing - Johnson 4 - Lawal 5 - Hansberry Bench: Hammond, Schutt, Gurdak, Transfer C Option 2 (if Lawal somehow stays in the draft) PG - Pasha Wing - Transfer Wing - Transfer 4 - Hansberry 5 - Transfer Bench: Hammond, Schutt, Johnson, Gurdak Option 3 PG - Transfer Wing - Pasha Wing - Johnson 4 - Lawal 5 - Hansberry Bench: Hammond, Schutt, Gurdak, Transfer C To me, a versatile Wing should be a priority, then a backup C and that's all that should fill out the rotation, but then you still have 4 spots left and I bet they only use 3 tops Emergency PG (this could be filled in a number of ways) Development Wing Development/Situational 4 If you're asking me, based on who VT has been reportedly involved with, how a great roster would look I'd go: PG - Pasha Wing - Chaikin Wing - Johnson 4 - Lawal 5 - Hansberry Bench regulars PG - Hammond Wing - Schutt 5 - Allenspach Situational roles Emergency PG - Angelo Brizzi/Jacob Meyer 4/5 - James Patterson/Gavin Griffiths/Tafara Gapare/Eli Delaurier Developmental roles Wing - Braydon Hawthorne 4 - Sincere Jones 5 - Christian Gurdak

How has Brizzi done so far? I liked him coming out of HS, but had forgotten about him. Would he possibly be an upgrade over Hammond and can he be a combo? How does Eli compare to Javin? I never thought Javin was that good and he shouldn’t have gone to Duke.

I think he'd tell you the same. But he started to show some signs of life last season shooting above 40% from 3. He wouldn't be above Hammond. This would be an emergency (3rd) PG role. DeLaurier has battled injuries and needs some time to develop. He would fit great in a role as a Situational player at VT, but if I were advising him I would tell him to go somewhere he is going to be relied upon every night. That's what is going to push his development the most

slow play him. Would help Frazier if that were to happen.

I don't think he will be ready like Hammond or Johnson from this season. But in a developmental role he could see some action

If the team has aspirations to finish in the top part of the ACC> I know his recruit status, where he started at, his ability to shoot, etc. Defensively? Consistency? not saying he is a bum.. He could think that not starting isn't necessarily permanent. Plus, it isn't about who starts; it is about how much you play. If you are a token starter but give away to other players alot, so what?

VT had a losing season and he finished on the bench. If he didn't think that'd be a possibility as VT tried to improve their talent level then someone was feed8ng him lies

He was inconsistent after being out of basketball for 2 years...which...is exactly what you'd expect. He is capable of being VTs best player on any given night. He just has to find that gear to be consistent

The whole portion of this thread was based upon me having him on the bench. It's a very low stakes scenario

as he was is tough. He was really inconsistent but certainly showed major flashes.

could soak up 15 mins a game at those positions behind our starters (Lawal and the WVU transfer). Otherwise you are banking on a true freshman in Gurdak.
