First time ever, watched Lawrence of Arabia last night

Long movie. It's an epic. Felt like I had to watch it. Overall, a good movie.

The preseason CFB magazine guy (?Steele?) relies

on starts pretty heavily when making his predictions. Not necessarily "starters" but actual # of starts as a game-count from the last season.

never liked "Hokey Pokie" ------>

it's stupid. And it isn't even spelled rite Call me when UR starts doing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" or Clemson, "Eenie Meenie Miney Moe, Catch a Tiger By the Toe" ** Edited by Riverguy at 7/10/2026, 9:59:07 PM

Once upon a time, Brice babysat future RiverWife.

My dad also had him when Brice was young. My dad kept his Brice notes with him throughout his professional career (ChemE)

Like I said a week or so ago...

a finer young man would be hard to find. His moral fiber is top notch.

and to add to your list of accolades

he was the RTD metro Richmond student-athlete of the year coming out of HS

Fire flew from Bud's eyes one time

when I mentioned "rankings" of HS kids. I wasn't emphasizing the rankings, and it was really just a throw away comment. Bud got lit up. LOL. At first I was thinking "oh man, Bud hates me now", but then he settled down and all was cool. LOL.

VMI 81 was cold.

There've been raining ones. Messy ones. Hot? Uhm... dang. I don't know. There've been a few, but I can't remember specifics.

Pretty good Duane Allman documentary on Amazon network

Spent some time on his childhood, and a lot about his pre-ABB days. I recommend.

Years and years ago, I think it was either Will or CC that wrote

an article about seeing the new recruits show up and how it just seemed so different... that the new kids were all bigger, more muscular and of a different tier than what we had been getting. ?Post Vick? I don't know. These days feel a bit like that even though I haven't been on the ground to see any of it. Just reading. Does anyone remember that piece?

A better young man is hard to find. Top top shelf

RTD student athlete of the year too His instagram seems to indicate he’s coming home

No This was all in the Pacific. None in the USA. My

friend left the country.... for what, I have no idea, but he seemed "on the run" All the wives were in SE Asia

An old friend of mine was into Cougars

LOL No, not those kind. The Mercs ...ironically (I'm not kidding) he's on something like his 6th Philippine much younger wife (they've all been way younger than him). He's in the Philippines now, and if I'm not mistaken it is because he ran into "trouble" here in the states. He doesn't talk about it. Held hostage for over a month or two by philippine muslims. Only hostage I've ever known. He fooled around with someone's daughter, laughed at the idea of marriage, so the dad & brothers locked him in a hot SE Asia metal tool shed with a 5 gallon bucket and slid food to him under the door. I saw him for the first time in years about 6 months after they released him and he looked like hell. His wasn't a convertible, but he had tuned it up to go quick. He always had access to parts b/c his dad owned a junkyard. Why can't I remember the color for sure? (getting old is like that). I want to think it was dark green, but dunno. Dark blue? But I do remember the sound that thing made. Sweet car.
