The end of an era ...
A bunch of years ago, when an aging PC broke down, I bought a Lenovo many times larger and faster than anything I'd ever had. It's been a workhorse and I'd have never edited and photoshopped the tens of thousands of images I processed for my clientele without it.
For a few months now, the Lenovo has slowed almost daily to essentially ignore mouse clicks or to only move with dial-up stubbornness from one site to another. Tonight, it goes to sleep and the Acer I bought from B&H Photo 5 years ago will become Top Gun. It's hardly been used, but it's been steadily set up to see all the things I want to see and do all the things I want to do. Kinda surprised the Acer took the "next man up" challenge like a 28-year-old AAA baseball player called to the majors.

pushing patches to slow down your phone and pc. Just so you will want to upgrade for a "newer, faster" phone. You are not alone in your thinking.

is going through is not the result of some interdisciplinary collaboration to impede computer efficiency. "There are reports of .... " LOL, I'm not buying that. The Lenovo is a Win 10 item past its prime. This isn't the first computer I wore out just like I wore out cameras and software over the years. Believe me, at my age, I know tired out when I see it.
