I'm annoyed by people that mix up entomology and etymology...
They really bug me in ways that I can't put into words. ;^) Went to a presentation on CNRE there in the fall. I think that's my daughter's first choice, probably Wildlife Conservation, but also with a minor in Entomology. We'll see next year around this time (hopefully earlier) if she gets in.

My dad got his master's in entomology in that building
he would often recite this little passage about one of his professors, though I never knew why: "I do not like thee, Dr. Fell The reason why, I cannot tell But this I know, and know full well I do not like thee, Dr. Fell"

My daughter is aiming for the minor in Entomology there....
as they don't have a major. At dinner after last fall's Open House, I asked her straight up, "So, you want to be the Bug Girl?" She was like, "Yeah, I guess. Yep, I'm gonna be the Bug Girl." Yay, science! \o/

DING! Yes and it runs right under the drill field! The explorers followed
the creek through much of what today is Blacksburg in the 17th century. ** Edited by UTPr0sim at 5/22/2026, 8:18:36 AM
