I don't think anyone in the list of transfers could start on an ACC team in the top of the conference. Therefore, I don't think collectively they can get our team into the top half of the conference...despite how good of a coach I think MY is. As many people have said, MY success or failure will depend on whether he can get ACC talent.

You've been in the coaches trenches and know we are not athletic enough...big enough...or talented enough to regularly compete with the top tier of the ACC. Sure, if we play near perfect basketball we can beat some of the upper tier ACC teams (see tourney championship) but we cannot become one on those teams (and I am not talking about Duke or UNC) with the talent level we have placed on the floor for the last 2 years. As for the 9 players listed, they work hard and do their best but: Pedulla - saved our asses many times this year but cannot play defense at all. Anyone and I mean anyone can beat him off the dribble. Rice - might have been capable of adding something but did very little in his brief stay Cattor - nothing but admiration for Hunter Beran and Long - on a good team these guys would be playing #7 or #8 off the bench Nickel - very good shooter, but very slow and lacks upper body strength. Will have a good career if too much is not expected of him. Kidd and Poteat - gave everything they had...glad they were on our side Collins - most athletic player on the team and really helped the last 7 - 8 games. Plays great defense but holds the ball too long while dribbling (FSU stole at least one of those continuous between the legs stuff). However, I will be pleasantly surprised if he becomes even an average outside shooter...every shot his motion is different and the arc is different (just compare his stroke to Cattor). JMU has had a better football team the last 3-4 years. That not only means they (currently) have a better team but also a better program. I am hopeful Pry can change that reality.

He repeatedly told his teams if you do three things I will never ***** at you: (1) out rebound your opponent; (2) have fewer turnovers than your opponent; and (3) shoot a higher percentage from the free throw lane. And he was right. Do those three things and you win 80 - 90% of the time.
