I started to wear one recently for a funeral …
But couldn’t remember how to knot it. Couldn’t tie the tie. Finally, out of frustration, I tossed it in the trash & went to the funeral open/collared.

I was adopted by a stray dog - long story
When I was 6 we lived in Hawaii in Barber’s Point Naval Air Station on-base housing. This was 1957. There was a pack of dogs that roamed the base & got fed by various means. These were dogs that were abandoned by their owners when the owners were transferred back to the states. It was difficult to move pets in/ out of Hawaii so people just left them. So I’m 6 & playing outside our hut when 2 mongoose come towards me snarling viciously. I start crying & my Mom is frantic when out of nowhere a stray dog charges to my rescue. He gets 1 mongoose & snaps its neck then chases the other away. Then sits next to me like we’ve been life-long buddies which we quickly became. My Mom witnessed this so she gladly accepted VIP (very important puppy) into the family.

I was diagnosed with eyelid mites & prescribed Xdemvy…
2 drops twice daily & the little critters are gone after a few weeks. No more itchy eyes or people asking me if I’m stoned.

I just finished La Reina del Sur. Excellente!!!
Produced by Telemundo so it is in Spanish with English subtitles. I know some Spanish but had to refer to the English print a lot. Still worth the hassle.

Very entertaining wrestler. A friend of mine dated him when they were in high school. She couldn't believe it when he became famous, said he was sort of an introverted nerd when she knew him.

My daughter Kelsey went through something similar when she was five.
It was 24 hours with no sleep. We rotated shifts trying to keep her awake. Worst part was the 90 minute drive back to the hospital. We had her share a bed with her older sister Kimmie so she could wake us when Kelsey had seizures. She was on multiple meds, we had to change them annually as she grew. Her seizures stopped when she reached puberty at age nine. Twenty seizures-free years later she is a beautiful, healthy woman about to get married. Prayer works & we will keep your daughter in ours.

Few jobs for grads, most don’t pay well. SCAD has a campus in Atlanta,,
Students there can sometimes get part-time jobs or internships while enrolled but still struggle when they graduate.

People in shorts & T-shirts were running out of buildings trying to catch snow flakes on their tongues. Traffic came to a halt as people exited their cars. It was very brief with no accumulation.

My Dad was on USS Maryland….
He had arrived in Hawaii the day before. He was assigned to an anti aircraft gun crew. It happened so fast, they never even fired a shot. When the sirens went off they thought it was a drill until the heard explosions & gunfire.

Yaak River in NW Montana.
2 - 3 day rafting trip, lots of fun. You probably see more beats than people. Put in near the head waters & end near the Kootenaii River.

I’ve been living with them for 3 weeks now…
I live in Columbus GA & they are bad around my wooded property. Every day I have clean them off my deck & driveway. My dog likes to catch live ones & play with them before he eats them. I had my grandson compete to see who could catch the most. That was fun until they started letting theme loose in my house.

When was 1st time you had a beer with your son?
For me it was when he was 18, the summer before he left for college at UGA. I knew he would be drinking once he got there so I wanted him to be experienced before he got there, so he wouldn’t make a fool of himself & get in trouble. Lot of good my teaching did him. Good thing his older sister was there to baby sit his drunken ass.
