Whenever you hear about something completely nutz, especially with teachers, it's always somewhere like Ohio. It's like California lights the fuse but the bomb goes off somewhere to the east.

Love all the comments btw. We've sort of gone through this iconoclastic/absurdist phase. Maybe it's just Alabama finally catching up to this. People want me to laugh? Grate, I will but at her and not with her.

It's some little pageant no one ever heard of that is supposedly about "fostering self confidence and a positive self image".
But the right wing media that is making a big deal out of it so people get all outraged over "woke" stuff, deliberately leaves that out of the article because it wouldn't generate as much outrage.
