Note Lynch got on base 64 times as of now. 17 doubles

not including fielder's choices. 17 doubles.... She could easily been on 2nd base many times that Cori hit a single Putting someone else in front of Cori McMillan other than Trinity Martin and Annika Rohs both hitting .235 and .231 gives RBI opportunities. She had 19 RBI in 35 games that involved scoring someone else. That is not good for someone hitting .454. Cori has barely more RBIs than Peck. Given Peck's two-week non-HR drought and declining impact, McMillan should have far more than 59 RBI with 29 of those being her scoring herself.

So has anyone tried to just walked her every time?**

This is a great reason she’s batting lead off instead of the 3/4 hole…..
HokiefromBedford 05/05/25 05:11 PM ET
Yeah, but leading of limits her RBI opportunities**

Odds are we win a couple of more games with a hitter like Lynch

I agree I would have hit her 3rd. I am going to look at losses

Look more closely at Villanova (3rd inning), UVA. Not about HRs
VAHokie89 05/06/25 08:16 AM ET
29 of her RBI are her hitting herself in / She only has 30 other RBI

I just looked at our losses below. And I only see the potential upside of

nvm
VAHokie89 05/06/25 08:15 AM ET
It does not even have to be a HR. I see Villanova, UVA and maybe a Pitt

Looking at anything besides HRs opens a large

Of course, but those were two situations that also illustrate the problem

Cori didn’t start as the leadoff batter until game #16 this season

Most teams will pitch to her at least once. Don’t believe she’s been

Agreed. Though Peck has not been "dangerous" recently**
VAHokie89 05/05/25 07:11 PM ET
Right, until Sunday, Peck has had a weak (for her) ACC season.**
