in the lead off spot and probably wrung just about as much offensive production out of that spot as any player could be expected to. There is a reasonable debate, IMO, whether another spot COULD have afforded her more and/or better opportunities for production. Her 37 walks at least raises the question whether teams had more of a chance to pitch around her in the one spot and whether the bottom of the order reduced her chances for more rbis. I think it is an interesting debate but, not one with a clear cut right or wrong answer. Something a little more clear cut is she has offered one of the best, if not the best, single season and two year offensive runs in VT history. Despite only two years her name will be prominently featured in the VT record book and questions will likely abound as to what a four year career might have looked like. It is not likely a straight extrapolation for a number of reasons but, she has been a joy to watch and will be missed when she moves on.
