Probably old news but ESPN suggested the Acc adding Utah, Memphis, SDst,...
and 1 other? Not saying add all but those would be ones that would help Accn.

That's probably about the best the ACC could do at this point.

SDSU won't bump the ACC Network, but will be a recruiting draw.

which is increasingly more important than cable hookups since they are declining. Correct me if I’m wrong, but we need to move away from thinking cable hookups is the only thing that matters. These are the reasons that the B1G was able to sell to its membership to take a football first school and a basketball first school from the same city. We all know this is primarily about the numbers, but it’s much different numbers than 5-10 years ago.

Have a feeling ESPN didn't want those schools before, and they don't want them now. (Utah is probably the only exception.)

the extra cash ( $35-45 million/team or more payout), come from to pay all these new teams? More TV cash? Doubt eSECpn wants to up their current contract payout. Amazon? Vinnie and Vitos Cash Cable? Bad enough adding the 3 that were added but eventually all new entrants will want a full share. What revenue streams are in hiding now that can be tapped in the future?

Adding G5 schools will not save the ACC. And why would Utah leave the relatively stable B12 to jump on a sinking ship?

Doubt the total contract goes down at all. Minimally.
Then distrubute that extra, say, $75mm to teams with some matrix of high ratings, high athletic debt budgets and high performance in football and BB.
Another $15mm to fsu and Clemson, another $10mm to unc and miami, and another $5mm to vt, UVA, gT, state and Pitt.
Problem solved.

than the next day, Bama. They really can't say anything else before it is a done deal. People give them a hard time, but until it is a done deal, you are happy right where you are at the moment. These things do fall apart sometimes, there was a rumor Frank Beamer was going to UNC. :-)
