Is it me, or does the B1G on CBS seem like a snooze cruise? Especially SEC
games of past, even though they were our main rival conference, I had to admit watching them was so entertaining. I always thought one of the biggest reasons was they had CBS, but after watching the game yesterday and today, they both seemed like a good reason for a nap. Is that just me?

I don't watch much B10 network, but they really don't seem to put much effort into their programming. Too arrogant to bother to make it appealing, I guess.

the SEC to Ohio State, but again watching SEC on CBS, was way better than what I saw this weekend.

That includes all of the (soon to be) 4 former Pac-12 teams.
Basically the national championship this year will be the SEC vs the ACC.
Where we stand now, it's UGA, Bama, F$U, CU & maybe OK. The B1X is out. Pac-12/10/4 is out, and the Big 12-2+4+4 +4+4+4+4+4 is out.

Most B1G games are boring but ...
they have large fan bases and tons of alumni which equals big TV money.
The B1G is everywhere on TV. CBS, NBC, FOX, FS1, BTN...
The ACC needs to find more network homes. By the way, has the CW started showing ACC football games or is that next season?
I read that many ACC schools want to take control of the TV ads on the ACCN to make more money. The Spurtle and Bell and Howell can only bring in so much cash.

Sorta early prime time at 6:30pm.
I am hoping that ESPN will continue this Raycom deal with CW past the expiration of the contract. It's 3rd tier games, so ESPN might like to make a little coin off of it through another partner instead of having everything go through ESPN+.

They are the same boring on CBS too. The WVU vs Penn State on NBC was exciting, but possibly because I like that matchup. I don't think B1G when I watch Penn State.

Players 1-85 on a comparable SEC team will have more speed than players 1-85 on a B1G roster. Players 1-30 on each team will be comparable, but the speed of the depth makes a difference in the speed of the game.

Some of this has to do with where you grew up and when.
I’m 70 years old and grew up in the DC suburbs in the late 50s and 60s watching the ABC game of the week which showed regional match ups in different parts of the country. In DC we got a lot of Big10, eastern independents and ND. That’s why they are still my favorites to watch. Couldn’t care less about SEC games. Doesn’t feel like Saturday.

In my early 50’s lived first 10 years of my life in Falls Church and Vienna then spent 3 years in Albany NY area then at age 14 moved to Orlando area.
In the late 70’s in Virginia as a kid I remember really enjoying USC when they came on. They had those great running backs. My memory is foggy beyond that. In Upstate New York the only college football people cared about were Penn State and Notre Dame. By the time I got to Orlando in 84 I saw how many people really like the Gators and the Hurricanes and then the Seminoles burst on the scene in the late 80’s. So yes college football is a very regional thing with the exception of Notre Dame, Army, and Navy.
