A few more things...
Twice I have done the CONNOISSEUR EXPERIENCE at the Guinness Factory and it was great...get a couple pints and some great stories. Also get to learn how to pour a Guinness. Also, the Jameson Distillery tour is pretty fun...remember at the beginning they will ask for some volunteers...raise your hand as at the end they have you do a taste test between bourbon, scotch and whiskey... St. Mychans has a great crypt with "mummies" that were Crusaders... Also, Temple Bar is overrated and very expensive, but its like going to New Orleans and not going to Bourbon St... Near the stadium if you are closer to Merrion/Ball's Bridge...Paddy Cullens and the Bridge 1859 are great pubs

My advice, avoid women who were plucked more times than the rose of Tralee
A great line from Caddyshack and I have no idea what it means LOL

Chris, I don't know your circumstances or how you obtained the tickets...
... and professional responsibilities being what they are, you probably have an obligation to attend the game and so be it. But please be sure to spend some extra time there and make the best of it, for ye may never pass that way again, lad!

This is going to be a long post....
My favorite places to stay, Schoolhouse Hotel (was there last weekend) and the Shelbourne Hotel (expensive but worth it...the pub in is terrific). Favorite places for pints...Lower Baggot St...Toners (personal favorite), Doheny and Nesbitt...close to the stadium, I love Slatterys .... Searsons also for a great pint...Gravediggers near Glasnevin Cemetery. Things to see...Kilmainham Gaol, St Patricks, Christchurch for the crypt, Little Dublin Museum if you like U2, Glasnevin Cemetery if you are into history... Places to eat...agree with Leo Burdocks for fish and chips, Matt the Threshers and Mister S for higher end....Mad Egg for some good cheap food...

Keep in mind a LOT of hotels don't have A/C.

And lots of houses in the Keys don't have heat =)
Does it ever get hot there? I just checked, and what I'm seeing is it almost never breaks 70. Count me out, haha.

Was just at Brazen Head last weekend.... 900 year old pub. Oldest in Dublin
It's right along with River Liffey in center of town. get the bangers and mash.... awesome food. Pay everywhere with credit card... no tax on food, and no tipping on service. IT'S AWESOME. Credit card fee for international exchange will be minimal.... like on a $20 charge, your credit fee will be about 40 cents, so don't sweat it. Guinness storehouse and Jameson tour are both cool - probably about $30 each. Guinness has a rooftop rotating bar so you can see the entire city. Venturing out of Dublin? I have suggestions.

I'd make it the end of your trip - or you'll be so tired on Day One.
Chris Coleman Chris Coleman OP
Yes, definitely flying back the day after the game.
Since Tech plays the next week, I'll need to be here that whole week.

Leo Burdock’s next to Temple Bar if you are a fish and chips person…
Best I had in Ireland and sampled all the way around the south.

TB is the Bourbon St of Dublin. Pricy tourist trap.

Good thing I went to the fish and chips place next to it (a block away)..
Instead. Top Notch quality and portion size make it a good deal.
