165" and counting at my local ski resort, which I can see from my house
Probably 24-30" total for the season so far here in the valley. I've already shoveled the driveway probably twice as many times as all of last season. But I don't mind - shoveling is good exercise and gets me away from my desk, the skiing is the best its been in years, and we desperately need the precip after some *very* dry years.

West coast I am assuming? Colorado? Cali? My buddy in Cali says skiing
is great once again! but the water is desperately needed so they are very happy!

Not a very good movie, but I absolutely loved that line. The fact that
there's a "Flying Elvis's" group.....oh, and it has multiple state chapters. Only in Vegas.

I feel for you. Used to work for Honeywell and spent time in Minneapolis->
in the winter when at HQ. It was flat out BRUTAL for me (a cold weather sissy). I'd see people running the streets when it was below zero, in sweatshirts.. It was all I could do to walk a block to the buildings that eventually led me to the YMCA, using the covered overhead walkways between buildings (a genius idea, btw). You need to be a special kind of crazy to be able to survive in Minneapolis.. Great people as a rule, but bat shirt crazy! The one plus is the summer. I love that it stays light so late! Also, all things considered, I always thought summer is the most beautiful week of the year up there, until the mosquitos get big enough to carry you off 😵‍💫 Are you from up that way, or did work take you there? Good luck man!!!
MADHOKIE MADHOKIE OP
Bat Shirt Crazy is right....not from here - work moved me
and have been here for 17 years now, so yes this is home. But as you said, from about April 1st through Nov 1st it is absolutely amazing here. Summers are fantastic and the fall is truly beautiful. And I never mind Nov / Dec - holidays are better with snow. But damn, from Jan through March this place can be downright nasty & mean with the weather. Can't wait to retire and spend those three months down south!!!

I go to Mpls for work 10-15 times per year
I love me some skyways Nov-Mar…don’t even bring a coat with me.

Buffalo NY and the surrounding area are suggesting you should play the
world's smallest violin. And telling you "you're #1" with some hand signal.

Yeah..that isn't even a place for human habitation! My dad was born and ->
raised in the slums of Buffalo. He left to join the Marine Corps and never looked back (he was orphaned by then). He lived to be 95, and hated even the hint of cold weather his whole life. He would get grumpy when he saw even snow flurries.. I AM my father's son!

Ha, true. Perspective certainly wins...

We're only 60 miles from Buffalo and are 2 feet below our YTD average at
this point.

usually I do enjoy it - we've had over 55" so far this season
it's starting to pile up and I am almost over it. and it's only January. And March is our snowiest month....
E

When you say "Minny," are you talking about Minneapolis?
My bud up there said they've only had 12" of snow since Monday night.
