Very Similar - I was 13 and my dad gave me a beer after a day of yard work
Italian family, grandfather made wine in basement too!
My dad didn't want me to think drinking was a big deal, but he also believed he should be the first to share a beer with me.
Mine was Schmidts - not sure they make it anymore. And, it didn't taste good at all ...

agree 100% - Montepulciano is amazing - stayed there for five days
a few years ago.
I would also spend time in Siena - beautiful!

Bat Shirt Crazy is right....not from here - work moved me
and have been here for 17 years now, so yes this is home.
But as you said, from about April 1st through Nov 1st it is absolutely amazing here.
Summers are fantastic and the fall is truly beautiful.
And I never mind Nov / Dec - holidays are better with snow.
But damn, from Jan through March this place can be downright nasty & mean with the weather.
Can't wait to retire and spend those three months down south!!!

usually I do enjoy it - we've had over 55" so far this season
it's starting to pile up and I am almost over it.
and it's only January.
And March is our snowiest month....

we are 4% pool - some will get more / others less...but also rec'd
other incentives along the way this year, including no increase to med benefits.
