Bosch 36" W counter-depth (SFW). Plenty of room for nice jugs of milk ;-)

Yup. Mine's about 35 now and still runs great. No fancy ice maker!

Your fridge is 35 years old? That’s impressive unless I’ve misunderstood
What the 35 meant but I wonder how energy efficient it is after 35 years. Not that I’d get rid of it, if it’s still working. It seems most appliances made to day are lucky not to be in a landfill w/I 15 years. They may have newer bells & whistles which are nice but at some point I wish manufacturers would stop adding new features for a basic appliance & focus on making a simple functional appliance that forever while staying efficient. That would seem like a healthy, earth friendly, green planet thing to do that we could all get behind.

Not that it matters now but in 2013 I bought a Samsung French Door
with the ice machine in the frig. Its been 10 years and it works awesome. At the time consumer reports had it as the highest rated refrigerator you could buy. They have fallen off apparently in the years since. Highest rated one they have now is around a 58. ** Edited by jdkhokie at 5/19/2023, 1:01:38 PM

ice maker is the main detail- is it big- does it last etc- is it fast ...

Two pretty good rules of thumb
1 - Avoid Samsung 2 - Avoid anything with an ice maker that is physically located in the refrigerator instead of the freezer

Umm. Have a Samsung that is stil going strong for 8 years with zero
issues. All models have their failures.

Agree with Tafkam. Samsung is awful and no appliance repair person will
work on it. Generally, the top/bottom options have less issues and more space than the side/side splits. Our LG fridge has two lower freezer drawers and we really like it.
