Posting History (669)

Don't know much about their baseball team but San Luis Obispo is beautiful!

My grandparents retired from the central valley- Hanford, California to Morro Bay, California- about 15 miles from San Luis Obispo. One of the most beautiful areas in the world in my opinion. Anybody ever stayed at the Madonna Inn? A very eclectic hotel in SLO with a lot of history.

DeMarcus Brown. Awesome! VT should keep all Roanoke area guys. So easy for

his family and friends to attend the games. Congrats to DeMarcus and the VT coaching staff!

I'm going to throw this out there like I did 2-3 years ago. Spencer Elliott

son of Thomas Elliott who played for VT is in the portal. He went to Tulane and then UNC-Charlotte. 6'10". I am guessing we could get him fairly inexpensively.

Let's talk some football! What position group are you most excited to see?

Obviously QB play, but with improved QB play I think there will be a few among the TE and WR group that really stand out and make names for themselves. I'm also excited to see what Coach Chaos does with the defensive line. What about you? What area are you most excited to see improvement from?

Why are we concerned our president retired? The commitment to the athletic

program funding changes are already in place, and I doubt the BOV would approve any new president who would want to cancel those improvements. University presidents retire all the time, personally I am excited about our new football coach and the renewed commitment to athletics by the university. Am I missing something?

I sold Pepsi's at the game where the cups were misprinted Go Hoakies! Yes I

said Pepsi. The contract was switched from Coca Cola to Pepsi and one of their first screw ups was with the spelling on the cups. Needless to say, Pepsi has not been back.

I was being sarcastic. Initially it really screwed us. We had a good play

and momentum and I thought Daley's shot should have counted as well. I had no idea how the referees were going to handle it. Then to give us 5.7 seconds and the ball and not count the basket seemed to screw us further. Fortunately Carley was smart enough to draw the foul and get the freethrows.

Artemis II delayed again. Meanwhile SpaceX successfully sends it's orbiter

to the space station in addition to launching multiple rockets and re-using them. I'm not against Boeing or the Artemis program, but I also don't understand why the government doesn't just hand over most of it's rocket requirements to SpaceX which seems to be much more reliable.

I'm not understanding the NET. How is UVA ahead of us? We have more wins

and less losses than them in Quads 1 and 2. We have a loss in Quad 3 but they have a loss in Quad 4. Not sure I understand, seriously, can anyone help me out?

My grandma RIP loved Lonesome Dove. Saw Robert Duval in a diner in Barstow,

CA with grandpa on one of their many trips to and from California and Virginia. Grandma said she didn't want to ask for a picture but did want to say hello. This was probably about 5-10 years after Lonesome Dove. She said he was very nice. There are about two diners in Barstow that both claim to be the original Route 66 diner, and it was in one of those.

Carys Baker. Isn't she fun to watch? You can tell her parents were athletes

and it was handed down. She plays at a very high level. Seems like a wonderful young person who is doing what she loves. Congrats to her on her big game against Stanford.
