Coming up on 3 years and the office is still a ghost town
I come to the office 2 to 3 times a month just to break the monotony of being home, plus I get a free lunch

I've been on both ends of the spectrum and the remote work life is far superior to any office setting. A phone or video call is just a few clicks away. As long as I get my work done, there are no issues of how, when, where, or how much I work.

The only reason is there is one person who insists he's not management (nominally the CTO/TX) and has zero emotional intelligence or people skills wants to see people in the office.

Funny thing, last summer I went in for the first time and caught Covid there, prob from the happy hour too.
I just happened to be in the DC office yesterday.

...expectations, such as coming to the office. I think we are already seeing the tide turn, with Salesforce slashing staff while the CEO continues to publicly rail against work-from-home practices. For a spell I thought maybe work-from-home would become adopted long-term, but there are too many company executives pushing back against it now for it to be the norm for too much longer, in my opinion.
