Will any of our current assistant coaches be retained?
These are some possibilities? Mines, Moore, Brooks and Price. Maybe our defensive coach in some capacity. Any thoughts?

Sefkis as the co-DC/LB coach. He’s shown himself to be pretty crafty as a DC.
Moore has taken a D- situation and turned it into a C on at face value and if it was grades on a curve it’s B/B+ range.
Mines is a great recruiter but I’m pretty sure we’re paying Franklin to be that guy. Not sure if the WR play has been that remarkable but that could be as much about QB and OC.
Not sure how I feel about anyone else.

If that person isn't already on the staff, then Franklin would have to bring in someone from outside the organization or bring back someone (i.e. Foster or Pry) who was once employed at VT and is currently no longer employed at VT. I am not suggesting Foster or Pry would be the DC because I was just using them for example purposes to clarify my original question.

Franklin wanted him to join him earlier for PSU, but he chose his good friend Pry.
He's an amazing RB coach and great recruiter. I expect him to stay.

then he should be on his staff. Pry seems like a great guy with a good upbeat attitude, had he won 60% of one score games he would probably still be VT head coach.

i’ve heard he has been a class act and very helpful during this whole process. Also heard he and his family love Blacksburg and don’t want to leave. Got nothing bad to say about him, wish it would have worked out but he just wasn’t meant to be an HC, not everyone is.

Prices DT's are playing very good this year. And Brook's RB:s are playing well, and he knows talent.
