This just in: Virginia Tech Fans Riot
Will we riot when Franklin is not named as coach today? Will we riot when Franklin is not named coach period? Will we riot when there is no announcement until early December? Will we riot when we don't like who is named? Will we riot when we realize we have been bamboozled by a shady agent playing everybody against everybody? Will we ever calm down and let it play out? And why do I find myself checking this site every 30 minutes to see if there is any news, any morsel from somebody heard it from somebody who read it on Twitter? Will I riot?

that a little revolution every 20 years or so was a good thing. We're overdue. But like another poster in this thread said, if we have to wait a bit, so be it. We'd probably be getting someone who is winning right now.

A chance with expectations varying based on compensation. If Franklin gets the gig at $11m a year the wins better start happening next season. Rolls Royce pricing demands Rolls Royce results. If Chesney gets the gig at $5m per year my expectations are lower and he gets a year or so to rebuild.
IMO there are a lot of good options for VT and as long as Shane isn’t the guy, I’m good.

Higher pay equates to higher expectations but we’ll see what whoever can do. Decisions will draw scrutiny and again higher pay equates to higher expectation on those decisions.
