Posting History (55)

Andy was the only one saying that.

Campbell did some great work at Iowa State but his ceiling isn't very high.

I think you're just noticing the modern technology at work...

The officials review the clock a lot more often now (it seems to me) because it's a quick thing to check on the monitors and easy to get right. The review system for hoops is really quick and doesn't rely on outside forces.

Rutgers still isn't getting full revenue share from the BIG10.

At least that was my understanding. That coupled with increased travel costs, cost of attendance, NIL, and all of the other ever-rising costs are a perfect storm.

I agree. The weekly change is honestly a bit confusing.

I always liked the idea though. But making 25 like 7 or Syracuse's 44 is a good idea.

Way better than they deserve after that process, kind of meh though.

He should be able to stabilize their program and build it into something solid, but that seems to be his ceiling. Definitely not an upgrade over Franklin which is what started this whole disaster for them.

Franklin likes "pro style" QBs so yes it will be a change.

It will also be a change to hopefully have an offensive line to suit that type of player!

Not sure but the old rules no longer apply.

Franklin simply wouldn't have been fired short of a scandal 20, probably even 10 years ago.

They'll regret it because there are no obvious upgrades.

It will be VERY interesting to see who they end up with. I think their hubris may have done them in here.

Sort if, Herbie said he HOPED Pry would make us a legit threat...

"(College football) misses the hostility of Lane Stadium and the Hokies being a legit threat every year," Herbstreit wrote in one of the tweets. "Here’s to (Coach Brent Pry) getting the Hokie Nation BACK!" He's been critical of Tech for sure, but he likes us and remembers fondly how we helped propel Gameday to what it is now.

I think he would do very well here.

He might not be a long term fix but those aren't likely these days. More of a Buzz Williams style tenure that improves things and sets the stage for the next guy.

Absolutely not. He earns a courtesy interview.

Maybe a nice bonus on the way out the door. ** Edited by Hokie4Heisman at 9/30/2025, 1:52:59 AM

He had 582 total yards and 4 TDs on the season.

Against 'Cuse he had just four carries for 23 yards and a TD, NO CATCHES. That's pretty underutilized if you ask me.

It's kind of reassuring honestly...

Plenty of major programs are dealing with just as much turnover as we are. Remember, some of these transfers are by design. Yeah, it's easier for players to move on from programs but it's easier for programs to move on from players too. I think it's a mix at Duke right now. They have the top recruiting class in the country coming in and it's pretty large (six players). Minutes will be tough to come by.
