I was doubtful VT would get both.

Both 6β4.5, Huhn is 215 and Bergeron is 210 and Huhn is #21 ranked QB while Bergeron is #20. A decisive factor is Huhn has been groomed by JF for a couple years while Bergeron signed on to Pry out of the blue.
When the handwriting on the wall of some competition emerged, it only took a day to Bergeron to Begone.

Agree, BUT, an expert eye should have seen that train wreck by the end of the second year. Does one live with their mistakes or decide to cut the losses?

Made >$1M on a 2-week put options trade on exactly September 30, 2008 (the day Lehman wasnβt rescued). Put $200K in my wifeβs savings account (blessedly and intentionally not joint) and spent the next 7 years losing the balance. All good, everything is paid off, retired and not tradingβ¦ and the wife is sitting pat. Been study WD Gann now for 10 years and havenβt looked back. Life is good.

Does that say something about the preferences of the unnamed OC? Or is this just the style of this particular recruit and theyβll work with the talent they can get?
Edit: not complaining. He is a P2 QB and questioning style choice not talent. First world problem.

It will also be a change to hopefully have an offensive line to suit that type of player!

So, I don't get too excited when we sign them. Not saying it can't happen, but I'll believe it when I see it. You just can't have many holes in your offense to execute at a high level with a pocket QB. I realize, we're in a new era now, but...call me gun shy.
Dual threat QB's can cover for a lot of shortcomings in talent, depth, execution, and coaching.
Even Druck...he wasn't whipping the ball all over the field. He threw maybe 20x or less a game...mostly play action downfield, with some curls and button hooks worked in. We were running the ball 75% of the time.

Look at what our dual threat (I use the term "dual" and "threat" lightly) strategy has done to these young men. They certainly aren't preparing for the NFL.

We don't need a run first QB. In his highlight video, he showed enough speed in his long td run

if necessary. Watching QBs take off before they actually need to is infuriating. It's great to have it as a back up option but if your first instinct is to bolt it's just asking for injuries, turnovers, etc. Feels like too many dual threats go to their legs too fast.

Big! Not sure we have seen the "full effect" of Franklin and the effect he
has on recruits and their families. Pretty statement like to get a kid like this from California with the offers he had in hand.
We got a glimpse of this with the rb and te from Pa and Minniesoota, but this is even larger - imo.
Feel a signing tidal wave coming and what has happened so far justifies my feelings.
Finally - to the pricks and uppities from C-ville, it is my hope that Franklin grinds your ass into the Lane Stadium turf to a level not seen in some time, if ever. Enjoy your brief lived "conquest"......it is over and fans dressed in aluminum soon to return.

See my post above about Wiggins. A BUNCH of PSU decommits traveling together have become CBs or have already committed. Snowballing in our direction and I hope I donβt jinx itβs continuation.
