As long as he continues not wanting to fully play the NIL and portal game he is a liability anywhere he goes.

He had super teams with the 2 best QBs in the country out of high school, as well as other positions, then struggled when he didn't use the transfer portal like the other big powers. His teams of late have not blossomed like those in the past as other schools are getting proven talent, especially at the QB position.
But Swinney can turn things around if given another chance and he concentrates more on the portal and less on high school kids because he can charm young men like no other coach.

...as much to do with his personality as it did "tactics". There was plenty of smoke indicating that Clemson had mastered the art of funneling money to players through back channels. Legal payments to players through NIL seem to have eliminated that advantage.

Might be “2” P4 openings in the Palmetto State
before the end of this season.
This is NOT a Shane Beamer flame, just putting out the facts.
He’s currently “3-6” and overall he’s “32-28” with a sub .500 record in the SEC at “16-23”. At $8 mil plus per year.
I’ve said this many times, Lou Holtz and Steve Spurrier could only do so much at SC and it’s just a tough place to win consistently and break into that upper tier.
Always thought he should have gone to a Tulane, Appy State, or a Murray State like his Dad first before jumping into the boiling pot of the SEC.
