Really dumb question here but I just don’t know, Whit asked for $80M…
To get us on par with the rest of the ACC athletic department funding. This funding information is public so the admin sees it every year across the ACC. I’m curious if they simply havemt thought it important to give more funding to the football program or if we literally don’t have it? I assume the media/tv money, ticket sales, and money from student fees are all on par with other schools? Where is the lack of funding?

1 its all about fund raising and professionals. Vt has been working with such a rookie inexoerienced team. For so long the base has no experience in professional fund raising
2 in 2025 to play power 2 football it is expected that universiies provide dorect fundimg . And its simple black or white yes and play and no you donf. Vt will have to integrate 40 million a year to athletes plus student fees and comtribitioms amd namimg rights

That goes back as far as I can remember and I started at VT in 1973.

Got my MS from The Ohio State University, and VT's approach is like rubbing two sticks together compared to OSU with respect to athletic fund raising.

No school will compare to VMI, but we could be more inline with TAMU.

I also went to George Washington, and they do a lot better job of the non-athletic side than VT does.

Ive got 3 kids going in multiple directions, its hard to keep it all straight.
Someone at VT, who represents a department I've donated to in the past reached out to make personal contact. We then went over the vision and what was needed for the future. I guess he could have waited, under your theory, wishing/hoping that i would "look in the mirror" and somehow (through telepathy?) know exactly what his vision was. Leadership and casting your vision to those you want something from matters.

has gone un-filled as serious applicants are cautious about taking a seat ahead of a re-org. Once the re-org progresses, new leadership and presumably improvement will be in-place.
