.... on this years uni's really helped. Somehow the new design is slick and retro at the same time, it works. And I think it's good (especially with the orange) that there's no intrusive stripes or collars breaking things up -- just the 1999-style TV numbers, which looked great btw.
And the script Hokies helmets were fire as far as I am concerned -- though usually I hate white helmets!
Maybe the important thing with all the uni designs is FONTS, not colors. The uni would have looked much more blah with the regular maroon or orange VT on the white helmet.

i liked the orange uniforms - helmet script was just ok
felt like we were trying to do too much with the hokies script instead of the VT on the helmets
the hokies script and virginia tech wording on the uniform were 2 different fonts which doesnt look great IMO

But orange is an accent color. Wear orange unis in October. But once a year and back to maroon with a little orange.
Don’t want to be confused with Tennessee, okie state or cuse

I wonder if VT will wear that helmet for another game this season. If VT does wear it again, then I will be interested to see if VT opts to wear white pants for that game. Personally, I would like to see VT wear a maroon and orange version of that helmet at some point.
