Pop Watson comparison
I'm sure I will get blasted for this take, but watching him play last night ( I thought he played well) I got MV2 vibes. Both in style of play and his confidence/cockiness with the talking, taunting, and celebrating. I don't know anything about him off the field so I can't speak to that, but just the vibe I got. Go Hokies.

wasn't implying anything like that.

Not a fan of a lot of talking or taunting which is why I said MV2 vibes. Would love for him to be Tyrod 2.0.

Considering they wound up in Charlotte, that'd be okay by me.

He is a little shorter than Emory Jones but the way he plays is similar. Jones played at UF, ASU, and Cincinnati. Castellanos at UCF and BC. Pop is shorter than Jones but taller than Castellanos.

But since it was against UVA I’ll hold off judgement until he starts against a college team.

Mike had a body that let him do things only a very few can. Lamar too. Early indicators are Pop can be extremely "heady". Have that sixth sense when to move in the pocket and make a play. Showed some accuracy last night from the pocket and on the run. Made a few of those killer first downs with his legs and no more. If we're going to compare him with a great one Mahomes wouldn't be a bad one to emulate. I wouldn't have even thought to type this at this point if it was for the Vick comparison.
Edit: I assumed MV1. But I see MV2

Although Murray does have an extra gear that I'm pretty sure Pop doesn't have.

impressed with his awareness and agility in the pocket. He certainly throws an accurate ball, although he may not have the same arm strength as those two. All in all I think we can do very well with him.

him last night I did also think his style of play reminds me of a young Tyrod Taylor. I think everyone likes their team's players to have confidence & celebrate when scoring or winning a game. However, I also think most people can do without the trash talking & taunting that seems to be way to common in sports nowadays. Yesterday what happened after the games between Michigan Ohio State and UNC NC State are perfect examples. Who thinks it's a good idea to take your team's flag and try to plant it anywhere on your opponents home field?
