I think the top 8 players for the Wizards squad were out. His 22 points was basically a tree falling in the forest. Nobody heard it.

Clearly, CMY is an excellent judge of talent. They don't always reach their peak while they are at VT, but they eventually blossom.

Camden had good qualities that weren't able to be used until he developed the ability to stay on the floor (i.e. defend well enough to not get exposed) and that VT could only wait so long before he developed those traits
Tyler Nickel coming to VT was a nail in the coffin for Camden because they were the same player but Nickel did the things Camden does at a higher level.
It wasnt a matter of Camden was always going to be a bad player, it was that he didn't develop in the timeline needed and VT needed to move on...much like Patrick Wessler. Camden moved on to a place where he could play through his mistakes it made him a better player.

Just expect pushback when you claim people told you something different than reality
You've chosen not to listen to people with experience in the industry and youre also choosing to dunk on some fictional list of experts who you say told you differently
So either these people youve yet to identify are not experts or youre misrepresenting what you were told...it genuinely doesnt matter to me which but until you identify who these claims are about I get to choose to show it certainly wasnt me

Like somehow CMY and VT's staff has no clue what they are doing and this is their first time making roster decisions. The player Camden is today is not even close to the same guy that wore a VT uniform.
Camden was a good shooter but I vividly remember how bad his defense was. Glad he's developed and hope he has continued success.

Is "go where youre needed, not just where youre wanted"
If you are relied upon for minutes then 2 things happen:
1) your development is directly tied to the success of the team/coach/program. You will be given every opportunity to improve and develop.
2) the vast majority of mistakes made on the basketball court are only fixed through experience. Not practice experience. Not individual workouts. Game experience. Being relied upon to work through your issues while playing makes you better.
If you want to be the best possible basketball player you can be, go somewhere youll be on the floor as soon as possible.
If you want to tell your friends you went to the highest level possible, then settle for your highest offer. But dont be surprised when the unranked recruit goes to Belmont and ultimately makes it to the NBA while you sat the bench for 3 years
