What about Avdalas? Will he play vs Virginia?

He was sick last game.
I imagine that 11 days later he'll be fine.

They’re targeting a mid-late January return
He had surgery on his foot earlier this month. He’s been in a boot but appears to be making progress. Should be another few weeks though ** Edited by samba6 at 12/28/2025, 8:02:23 AM

I am guessing Lateral Ligament Restructuring Surgery. Not a Dr.

I posted it on here a couple of weeks ago.
They are hoping for a January 21 return, last I heard.

You have to imagine that he wil be out of shape when he starts back up
if he can't run or do cardio it's will take him 2 weeks to get back to game cardio shape to contribute meaningfully minutes

With a 28.4% rebound percentage there are less than 10
Players more effective than Lawal. If he can give us anything, it will be beneficial. I would also imagine he has done activities in some form. Swimming etc etc

This non contact sport has as many injuries and lost playing time
As football, seemingly…year in and out it’s like a broken record..

Basketball being non-contact is news to me, it’s a very physical sport
Full of unnaturally lanky players constantly falling 3+ feet onto a wood floor

Several years ago I attended an Iowa at Penn State game with front row...
seats near one of the baskets. I was truly surprised at just how physical the game was up that close. Watching on TV or high in the rafters does not show the banging and bruising that really occurs.

As a kid, a coach told me Basketball is a full contact sport; Football is
a full collision sport.

Here is what AI told me
Genetics/Build: Very tall, lanky players, while dominant, might have biomechanical disadvantages for stopping quickly, making them more prone to injury
