I have Youtube TV. Do I also need a Disney+ subscription to watch ACCNX?

1. Open the ESPN app on your TV (download it, if you have'nt already)
2. Click log-on
3. It will ask if you have a Disney account or 3rd Party TV provider. Click 3rd Party TV provider.
4. Select YTTV from the menu
5. It will take you to a screen to enter your YTTV account name and password
6. Enter your YTTV account name and password
(Note: sometimes you need to repeat steps 4-6 a few times, because ESPN app sucks)
7. Once you are in the ESPN app, scroll down to Channels
8. Select the ACCNX channel
9. Select the VT game
(Going to channels is important because they will show the VT game under multiple ways, like ESPN+. So, by selecting the ACCNX channel, you will see the version of the VT game that is available in ACCNX).

ACCNX choices are horizontal icons per sport, e.g., Men's College Basketball
I am blocked from, say, SECNX because I have no "token" in xfinity, i.e., not part of my xfinity subscription.

You'll find our games there.
If you go in at another place, ESPN may try to tell you to subscribe to ESPN+ to watch it.
Bottom line: always go to the ACCN-X page!

YouTube TV currently has only one plan, which includes the ACC Network. Therefore, all YouTube TV subscribers have access to ACC Network Extra.
That said, you do need to use the ESPN app/website to access ACC Network Extra -- you won't find such games in the YouTube TV app/listing. When you get into the ESPN app, you need to select/log in to your TV provider so ESPN can verify that you have access to the ACC Network.
In any event, @OakHillHokie is asking if you need any extra subscription to watch ACCNX. The answer there is no.

If you want a sports package but don't want to pay the full $83/month for channels you don't care about, they will be offering a more narrow plan with just sports offering that will presumably be significantly cheaper. Their announcement isn't explicit, but I think this will include ACCN and ACCNX as part of "all of the ESPN networks".
This will presumably complete with the similar ESPN Unlimited plan ($29.99/month) where ESPN/Disney is directly providing a similar option instead of their expensive Hulu with Live TV subscription.

But I've noticed that through the new ESPN app I also have access to ESPN+ games without having a separate subscription. Not sure why but I'm not complaining.

Disney/ESPN recently added the $30 "ESPN Unlimited" subscription, where you can access all their TV content via the ESPN app without a separate cable/satellite/streaming TV subscription. When they did this, they also eliminated the separate ESPN+ branding and have rebranded the content as "ESPN Select". They also include all the ESPN Select content (formerly ESPN+) in the ESPN Unlimited package.
I assume that as part of this change, they are now essentially offering full ESPN Unlimited access to TV subscribers with appropriate subscriptions. (Even before these changes, TV subscribers could watch games carried live on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN-U on the ESPN app in addition to being able to watch on TV.) If this is correct, that would explain why you can access ESPN+ content now.

play thing (Hulu/ESPN/Disney) but I believe I would still need an added ESPN Select plan to get games on ACCNX.
