Would like to know the scoop on how Hokies identified Dorn, pursued him,
and closed the deal. Guess we'll never know who did the initial legwork. Wonder what drew Dorn to VT, hopefully more than $$$.

He will definitely be required to go to class, pass tests and do all the same eligibility anyone else would do.

My son saw him enter his class or on the day of a final. Sat there 5 minutes, walked to the prof’s/ proctors desk , and walked out.
It’s the only time he attended that class all semester.

I'm saying it didn't matter for Vick to go to class if he didn't need to be eligible in the Spring

I’m think some question how rigorous academic requirements are for athletes. Are they just being pushed through and passed even when they don’t the work.

in the late 2010's...at least not in my classes...including a fairly high profile football player...he was generally in class and definitely took exams...I think he got a C

Same experience I have teaching at Vandy. Student athletes are held to same standards as other students.
I had 3 football players, a basketball player, a women’s lacrosse player, and a member of the track team in class this semester. No special treatment.
