I don't think the schools you mention are better "sourced," unless you mean our fundraisers aren't up to snuff. Since, Lu Merritt, the HC has had TILI Lansden, Brad Wurthman and now Danny White (the last two were interims only). None were professional fundraisers, although TILI claimed to be one, which he was not. @RJHokie constantly brings this up, and he's correct. We're leaving a lot of money un-donated. To me, the bigger problem is the lack of communication from Whit (Captain Obvious here), and his well-earned reputation for poor money management and allocation. There is also a problem with the collectives, and the secrecy surrounding them. Who in the collectives decides who gets how much, what is the process, what is their overhead, how much are they paid, etc? If you want NIL contributions to increase, the shroud of secrecy needs to be lifted. Whether the new state law re: NILs will have an effect remains to be seen until June/July of this year.
